Valve has announced the October edition of Steam Next Fest for 19–26 October 2026. Its developer schedule lists a 10:00 a.m. Pacific Daylight Time start.

01

What to expect

Next Fest focuses on playable demos of upcoming Steam games. A demo is a preview, so performance and features can change before release. We have not tested or selected individual demos for this briefing.

02

Before you set aside time

Check the official event page for changes and each demo’s requirements. PC coverage does not guarantee that every demo supports Windows, macOS and Linux. Store access and individual game availability can differ by region.

03

Convert the opening time once

The documented opening time is 10:00 a.m. PDT on 19 October, which is 17:00 UTC and 8:00 p.m. in Saudi Arabia. Valve lists the same Pacific time for the close on 26 October. Save the event with a timezone in your calendar so that a bare “10 a.m.” does not become a local-time assumption. Recheck the organiser’s page if its schedule changes.

04

Treat each demo as a question

Choose a few demos with a specific purpose: checking controls, interface readability or whether you enjoy the basic activity. Record the game, date and device beside a short impression. Keep what you observed separate from what a trailer promises. A demo may omit later features, and its performance or saves may not represent the finished release.

If a title interests you, follow its own store page for release information. Festival participation alone is not a launch date or a promise that progress will transfer. Our separate demo-planning guide gives a fuller preparation routine; this event page is the calendar reference.
