Steam Autumn Sale 2026

What is announced

Valve says the 2026 Autumn Sale runs from October 1 at 10:00 AM Pacific through October 8 at 10:00 AM Pacific. Game availability on Windows, macOS and Linux depends on the title.

A useful way to prepare

Make a short list of games you already want and check their requirements. During the sale, compare the actual price and edition before purchasing. We have not verified any specific discount, and this page does not promise the lowest price.

Compare the edition, not the percentage

Make a note with four fields for each candidate: exact edition, included content, supported operating system and the final local price shown during the sale. A large percentage can refer to a package you do not need. Check whether an expansion requires a base game and whether a bundle repeats content already in your library.

Our decision rule is to keep a game on the list only if you can explain why you want to play it. A discount does not make unsupported hardware compatible or create time for a game you were not interested in before.

A simple sale-day routine

Open your shortlist when the event is live, compare the product pages and decide which purchase, if any, fits your plans. There is no need to buy something just because the calendar has reached a sale window. Recheck Valve’s event information if the expected promotion has not appeared in your region. This briefing records the announced dates; it does not monitor prices or confirm a lowest-ever deal.
