Your privacy, plainly.
This notice describes App Fieldnotes. Updated 2 October 2026. For privacy questions, email privacy@appfieldnotes.com.
Reading choices on your device
Saved and completed article identifiers, comparison selections, selected device platforms, theme and text-size preferences are stored in this browser’s local storage. These features do not create a reader account or synchronize choices across devices. They remain until you clear them or your browser removes them. Reader backups are files you export or import on your device; the application does not upload them. Imports merge choices and skip unavailable articles. Use the control below to clear this application’s reading data.
Hosting and traffic information
Our hosting platform processes requests needed to deliver pages and provides built-in traffic reporting, including page views and unique-visitor counts. This reporting is separate from the application’s reading preferences. Hosting and authentication may use platform-managed cookies and technical logs.
Website administration
You can read App Fieldnotes without an account. Administration is restricted to the website owner through the hosting platform’s sign-in service. Private editorial records are kept separately from public articles.
Messages you send us
If you email App Fieldnotes, we receive your address, message and any attachments through our email provider, Namecheap Private Email. We use them to handle your enquiry, correction or privacy request. Please send only the information needed for your request.
Google services and privacy choices
Reader pages contact Google through its AdSense script. This may involve your IP address, browser and device information, and cookies or similar storage used for privacy choices. There are currently no paid advertising placements. The “Privacy and cookie settings” control in the footer requests Google’s available choices, but the dialog may currently be unavailable on this site. If it does not open, email privacy@appfieldnotes.com. A click alone does not mean you have given consent or saved a choice. Clearing your local reading data does not withdraw Google consent. The privacy, disclosure, terms and owner pages do not load this script. Google explains how it uses data from partner sites at https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. If advertising is introduced, this notice will describe the related services and choices.
Optional services and external links
The application has no affiliate tracking, newsletter signup, reader comments or separate analytics SDK. Following a store or developer link takes you to an external service with its own privacy practices.
Contact and your choices
You can clear local reading data below; doing so does not delete your hosting-platform account, platform logs, editorial records or emails you have sent us. Contact privacy@appfieldnotes.com about information held by App Fieldnotes or for questions about the services involved in delivering the website.
Your reading data
Your saved articles, reading progress, comparison and display choices stay in this browser. Export a copy from your reading desk before clearing them if you want to keep them.
