Make a short sample first so you know what the recording includes and where it is saved.
Find the recording control
Google’s general instructions start by swiping down twice and selecting Screen record in Quick Settings. You may need to swipe across or edit the tiles to add it. Choose what to record and start after the countdown. Before recording, inspect the available audio and touch-display options. Controls vary by manufacturer and Android version, so use your device maker’s instructions if the general route does not match.
Prepare a clean demonstration
Our suggested preparation is to close private chats, clear sensitive content from the screen and decide whether notifications should be silenced for the session. Use a harmless screen for a ten-second sample. Speak if you intend to include your microphone, then play the result and check which sound was captured. Do not discover an unwanted microphone or notification halfway through an important demonstration.
Stop, find and inspect
Google describes stopping through the screen recorder notification and finding recordings in the Movies area under Photos, Collections, On this device. Your gallery may organize files differently. Watch the beginning and end before sending the file; these often contain the actions taken to start and stop it. Keep a local copy until the recipient confirms it opens. A successful short sample checks your current setup, not every app’s ability to be recorded.
