Use the built-in recorder, decide whether the microphone belongs in the clip and inspect the saved result.
Prepare what will be visible
Our suggested first step is to close private material and reduce unexpected notifications. Start from the screen you want to demonstrate and make a short test. A screen recording can reveal messages, account names and other details that are easy to overlook while concentrating on the task.
Start and stop the built-in recorder
Apple’s guide describes opening Control Center and selecting Screen Recording, followed by a short countdown. If the control is missing, follow Apple’s current instructions for adding it. Stop from the recording indicator or return to Control Center. The completed recording appears in Photos. The way you open Control Center can differ with your device.
Decide whether to include your voice
Apple describes pressing and holding the recording control to access the microphone option. Turn it on only if you want external audio such as narration. Apple also notes that some apps do not allow audio or video capture, and screen recording cannot run at the same time as screen mirroring. A missing sound track may therefore be a restriction, not something another recorder can legitimately fix.
Review before uploading
Play the clip in Photos and inspect both picture and sound. Check the beginning and end for unintended screens, and remove private details before sharing. A short clip that shows one issue clearly can be more useful than a long recording. This is general guidance based on Apple’s instructions; we have not tested every iPhone model or app’s capture behaviour.
